Janet H. Hall has more than 35 years of experience in accounting and finance and has been the Controller for Meridian Management Group, Inc. since 1995. Her experience is concentrated in accounting for the small and medium-sized business. Her primarily responsibility is to compile the necessary schedules and preliminary financial and tax reports to assist the Chief Financial Officer in his role of managing the overall financial operations of MMG and its affiliates. She is also responsible for billing clients and paying vendors. She will continue these responsibilities for the Fund.
Before joining Meridian Management Group, Inc., Ms. Hall was controller for Marcorp, Ltd. from 1988 through 1995; audit manager with Abrams, Foster, Nole and Williams (CPAs) from 1986 through 1988; and Vice President of Accounting for AAA of Maryland from 1981 through 1986. She received her initial auditing experience from the CPA firms of LeRoy Taylor, PA from 1977 through 1978; and Ernst & Young (Formerly Arthur Young & Company) from 1978 through 1981. She has received her Economic Development Finance Professional Certificate from the National Development Council; and is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. She received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Morgan State University.
Ms. Hall is treasurer of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Alpha Alpha Sigma Chapter and treasurer of the Douglass High School Class of 1973. She is a member of the Morgan State University National Alumni Association and the Howard Cornish Chapter of the MSU National Alumni Association.
